Virgin River (Au-Cu-U)

  • 100% Tarku
  • 4 mining dispositions, north Saskatchewan, 20 km south of the Athabaska Basin
  • 115 km north of Buffalo Narrows
  • Accessible by float aircraft and boat

Geological context

Favorable context: Orogenic or syngenetic gold ; unconformity-related uranium

  • 27 km along the Virgin River faults zone that affect sedimentary and intermediate volcanic rocks as well as numerous felsic intrusions
  • Gold showing of 2.26 g/t in a pyrite-pyrrhotite bearing mafic schist (grab sample, Eagle Plains Resources, 2013)
  • Historical showing containing 5 to 13 g/t Ag and 0.3 to 2.5 g/t Au over 0.3 to 1.5 meter ()
  • Located on strike and within similar geological context than the Dufferin Lake and Centennial uranium deposits

Local Geophysic

  • Two well defined regional corridors with high magnetic signatures over 10km on-strike with the two auriferous corridors
  • Presence of 70 line-km of moderate to strong EM anomalies in the core of the Virgin River faults zone

Work by Tarku

  • 2014 - High-resolution heliborne  MAG and 1TEM survey over 976 line-km (Precision GeoSurveys Inc.)
  • 2014 – Prospection, soil geochemistry, ground radiometric survey. Soil anomalies in As, Ag, Sb, Bi, Cu, Co (TerraLogic Exploration)
